UEFA grants Britain and Ireland the right to host Euro 2028
The European Football Association announced the countries that won to host the next editions of the European Nations Cup (Euro), after the bids of England and Ireland, in addition to the bid of Italy and Turkey, succeeded in winning the hosting of the 2028 and 2032 editions.
The European Union confirmed that the Euro 2028 edition will be held in England and Ireland, specifying the following cities to host the tournament: Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Dublin, Glasgow, Liverpool, London with two stadiums, Manchester and Newcastle.
The European Union also congratulated Turkey and Italy for hosting the Euro 2032 edition after the two countries provided about 20 stadiums to host the tournament, with only 10 being chosen to host the tournament, five in each country, which will be in October 2026.
It is worth noting that next year will witness the start of the Euro 2024 competitions, the qualifiers of which are still ongoing until March next year, to determine the participants in the tournament that Germany will host in June 2024.
