Klopp: I like what Brighton offers… and the draw is fair
Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp believes that the result of his team’s match against Brighton was fair.
Liverpool tied with its host Brighton, with two goals for each team, today, Sunday, at the Falmer Stadium, in the eighth round of the Premier League matches.
Klopp said, in statements to Sky Sports after the match: “I really like what they (Brighton) are doing. Anyway, we were a little better today, and I think we could have been better. We should have won the match.”
He added: “In our good moments, we did not score enough, and Brighton caused us problems, but they did not create much.”
Regarding McAllister, he said: “The hardest thing you can do is commit a mistake against your old team, and then return to the game as he did.”
He continued: “I think it is a fair result. We tried to put pressure on them from the front, but they were able to overcome that and scored twice against us.”
He continued: “We played wonderfully in the second half, and we could have finished the match, had it not been for Gravenberch’s chance that bounced off the crossbar.”
He concluded: “I don’t think Brighton would have given up either, but a third goal would have certainly helped us.”
With that result, Liverpool raised its score to 17 points in third place, while Brighton raised its score to 16 points, in sixth place.
