Hazard’s retirement…the most prominent figures in the Belgian star’s career
Belgian Eden Hazard announced his retirement from football today, Tuesday, after a long, successful career.
Hazard wrote on his official Instagram account: “After 16 years inside the green rectangle, and playing more than 700 matches between clubs and national teams, I have decided to end my career once and for all.”
Hazard continued: “I succeeded in achieving my dream, and I played in many stadiums around Europe and the world, and I was fortunate to work with wonderful coaches and distinguished players throughout my coaching career.”
Eden Hazard had moved to the ranks of Real Madrid in the summer of 2019 with a contract for 4 seasons, but he was unable to perform what was expected of him with the Merengue.
Here are Hazard’s most prominent numbers during his club career: –
Participated: 625 matches.
Scored: 167 goals.
Assisted: 157 goals.
His scoring rate per match: one goal every 267 minutes.
Eden Hazard left Real Madrid after the end of last season, but no club has signed him during the past months, which prompted the Belgian to decide to retire at the age of 32.
